El Oso, el Madroño and Fernández Molina: a story spanning over 50 years

Although it has always been located in Puerta del Sol, this sculpture has had two different locations within the square. Until 1986, it was on the eastern side. That year, it was moved to the beginning of Calle del Carmen due to construction and renovations. Later, in September 2009, with the complete renovation of the square, it returned to its original location.

The materials this statue is made of are stone and bronze. Its dimensions are approximately 20 tons and 4 meters high.
